Is Mitopia open source? |
| |
No, it is not.
Only specific portions of the source code will be released
for the purpose of each specific project only. Developers
will be under disclosure agreement at that stage.

Do I have the right to
use the code I develop for MitoSystems on other projects?
|
|
3.
|
Do I have to pay to become
registered as a developer with MitoSystems?
|
| |
No. We encourage
developers to register so we can keep you informed of
opportunities. Visit the Community portion of the site
as well to interact with your peers.

|
What are the expectations and legal obligations
of my participation as a developer on a project? |
| |
Once you commit
to a project we expect that you will meet the required
milestones and timelines. If you have unexpected difficulties
with this, you may request modification from the project
coordinator at MitoSystems. If the project coordinator
determines that you have misrepresented your capabilities
or commitments, they reserve the right to remove you
from the project and possibly from participating on
future projects.

|
How do I know how you will evaluate whether
the code performs as you expected? |
| |
MitoSystems wants to build
fair and equitable relationships with our development
partners: it is in our interest to create good relations
with the developer community! Each project will state
the evaluation criteria. This, along with the milestones,
timeline and coding standards, will give both sides
an explicit and transparent set of criteria to judge
the completion/acceptance of the project code.

6.
|
What if I get half of the project completed?
Do I get paid for half the value of the project? |
| |
Developers are
paid on a per-milestone basis. When the developer has
completed and delivered a particular milestone, the
project coordinator will review it and determine if
it is acceptable. If accepted, the developer will be
paid according to the terms of the agreement. Milestones
which are only partially completed will not receive
any payment.

I live outside the United States. Can
I still participate in projects? How can I be sure I will
get paid and what terms/currency? |
| |
Yes, international
developers are encouraged to participate. We will pay
the US$ amount listed at the start of the project. We
will not adjust for currency fluctuations incurred from
the date of project award to project completion. We
will pay by wire transfer or another agreed upon method.

How does MitoSystems make money? |
| |
We are in the
business of providing complex software solutions for
customers. Special customer functionality requests which
cannot currently be supported by the software are posted
onto the projects section. We are able to pay developers
attractive fees because end users pay us for the resulting
integrated functionality.

is not supported.

Does MitoSystems use encryption? |
| |
Mitosystems
decided to implement SSL security with
a digital certificate for certain pages
on this site dealing with sensitive information
transfer. For example, we use SSL for
the following pages:
- to encrypt password information
- Developer
Tax ID - to protect tax ID information.
- Registration/Account
Maintenance - to protect contact information
and password.
- Project
development secure area (awarded developer).
Because of the significant performance penalties associated
with encryption, MitoSystems does not currently encrypt
other pages that do not warrant the same degree of security.
